Getting construction contracts right is critical to the success of any construction project. To get it right, you need to know which contract form is best for your project. You also need to understand the terms of your contract and what they mean.
 
In this webinar we review forms of construction contracts typically used in Canada and the key terms. We will also review, in detail, the new CCDC 2 (2020) standard form contract so you will be up to date on the latest in construction contracts in Canada.

Presenters:

 

Rosalie Clark is a senior Associate in Clark Wilson LLP’s Infrastructure, Construction & Procurement Group. She has extensive experience advising clients both locally and across North America with the negotiation of contracts, as well as a wide range of litigation issues including builders’ lien claims, delay and deficiency claims and other construction disputes. Rosalie is committed to working diligently alongside her clients to establish practical legal solutions.

 

Scott Lamb is a partner at Clark Wilson LLP. He practices in construction law, acting for owners, general contractors, specialized contractors, consultants, and material suppliers in institutional, commercial, and residential projects. Scott’s practice encompasses negotiating and drafting construction contracts, construction disputes and builder’s lien claims. He has been recognized in 2018 and 2019 by Best Lawyers in Canada for construction law.

 

Satinder Sidhu is a partner at Clark Wilson LLP. Satinder's area of expertise is Infrastructure, Construction & Procurement, Insurance.     • Windows 10 or Mac iOS is reccomended 
  2. Internet connection - For best results, you will want to ensure you have an internet connection with an upload/download speed of 3-5 Mbps. You can test your internet speed here. Minimum recommended speed is 1.5 Mbps, but anything below 3 Mbps may result in loss of quality or buffering. Ideally hardwired connection versus wireless for stability - connect your computer directly to your router using an ethernet cable, rather than using your home wi-fi.
  3. A quiet space with minimal distractions - Please plan to be fully engaged in the class and clear your work schedule just as you would for the in-class program.  
  4. Comfortable chair

Cancellation &
Refund Policy

COURSE REGISTRATION CANCELLATIONS, TRANSFERS & REFUNDS:

 

Cancellations received at least 5 business days prior to the webinar date will result in a full refund.

 

Registrants who do not attend/log into a webinar, and/or who do not notify ICBA of cancellation at least 5 full business days prior to the course date will be assessed the full cost of the webinar. There will be no refunds or credits in this case.

 

Substitution of attendees is permitted up to and including the day of the webinar.

 

COURSE CANCELLATION BY ICBA:

 

ICBA may have to postpone or cancel webinars due to insufficient enrolment, in which case ICBA’s liability will be limited to a refund of the registration fee.
